Refrigeration must be considered as a
means of delaying and not preventing food spoilage by
bacteria and moulds. Furthermore, although the common
food poisoning organisms are incapable of multiplication
or toxin production below 5C, there is increasing concern
regarding certain psychrotrophic pathogens capable of
growth below 5C, including Yersinia enterocolitica (1C),
Listeria monocytogenes (0C), Aeromonas hydrophila (1C)
and Clostridium botulinum type E (3C).
Management must provide a satisfactory environment
during distribution to prevent contamination and multiplication
of food poisoning bacteria in food.
As you can see the refrigerated vehicle has been foam
cleaned and sanitised using an approved food grade cleaning
agent, leaving the vehicle cleaned to a ‘supermarket
approved’ standard.
We will establish and maintain a high standard of
cleaning.
- Documented cleaning in the form of cleaning schedules
and audit sheets.
- Cleaning validation i.e. Swab analysis.
- Eliminate cross contamination from pathogenic bacteria.
- Undertake frequent internal audits of cleaning
and procedures.
- Reduce rejection from customers point of loading.
In addition to the above we can also provide the following
on request -
- Dust on evaporator coils and air ducts can be removed
to maintain performance and prevent possible cross
contamination.
- Base plates can be removed to check for debris which
can obstruct air flow and block drain holes.
- Drip trays, if present can be emptied and cleaned.
